- fundavlog My early attempt at creating a crowdfunding community platform for videobloggers in 2006. This is where I coined the term crowdfunding.
- TweetFTP one of the original twitter file sharing services and used oauth, ftp, java and php. users had there own ftp accounts and were able to upload via ftp app or web (java applet) and share links to large files on Twitter and optionally broadcast to @tweetFTP
- Tweetshots an experiment that I started in May 2008. Generates a screenshot of a tweet and lets you share it on other services (tumblr) or via email or embed on any page. Over 6000 tweetshots generated. This thing just runs and has had no maintenance or updates
- TweetShow originally a slideshow generator for tweetshots (tweet screenshots). then it was repurposed as a platform for sharing comments on Twitter while watching TV Shows using #tweetshow hashtag and a community hub for Twitter users to follow shows. Backburnered
- Twoirl A Social Network that focuses on Real Life Meetups, Social Gestures, QR Codes, SMS, Email, Geolocation and a Gift Economy that encourages Reciprocity. Uses the Ingesture API.
- vlogdir The first dedicated videoblogging directory launched in 2005 (before Youtube etc).

- Crowdfunding Wiki I coined and defined the term “crowdfunding” in 2006 on wikipedia and created a separate wiki when the article was deleted (it has since returned to wikipedia). This is the wiki I maintain and contains a decent list of example projects.

- 7. BestWeb Internet 2000-2001 – I worked for an ISP for a while. Comical times! No regrets, despite the pain incurred.
- 8. imix.com 1998-2000 – My Adventure in dotcom boom & bust. We created (burned!) user-generated custom music CDs and snail mailed them out to customers. Got big then bombed in the bust. Napsterization also played a part ;-)

Forget the iTunes LP, Apps are the New Album

I have not experienced new itunes LP offering but i can tell that it’s not enough.
Btw, their was tech over 10 years ago that essentially did the same thing. One of those was called Throttlebox (ref. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0EIN/is_2000_April_24/ai_61620626/).

I’m enthusiastic about digital media packaging so itunes tech is of interest to me, as are mobile apps.

But let’s not forget about the web and RIAs. With the evolution of the Web Browser to support HTML5 along with distributable formats like Mozilla Archive Format (MAF) or Open ebook formats like EPUB and easy desktop app frameworks like Titanium… Publisher’s have several ways to package network-enabled immersive entertainment including audio tracks, video clips, games and anything else.

Forget the iTunes LP, Apps are the New Album.
