so, me and wordpress?
over the years i have installed and used wordpress for a few project blogs or for testing purposes. i was very hesitant to install it for this new blog that i truly plan on using. i want simple and lite. when i think of wordpress, i think of heavy, overkill, vulnerable. i almost setup vanilla forum which i am using on another site and liking it. but i’m caving and will see how it goes with wordpress. wordpress(mu) actually. see how it fends off spammers this time around.
it is nice. keeps getting better. will be good to familiarize myself with it again too.
the important thing is…. its on my server using my domain and i can customize it. DIY. i will talk more about this but just so you know, i am shifting away from most (maybe all) social network services. some will be easy to ignore. others wil be more of a challenge. but it will get easier as i and others get organized around open federated tech… the way the internet was intended to work. yes, more on such manifesto babble in followup posts.
its 5am. the birds will be singing soon. must disappear before then.
