In response to Dave’s request, looks like Henri from Telnic is going to work on a RESTful API for .tel.
This is cool because even though I got SOAP working, i prefer to use REST.
About a month ago, I secured the rsscloud.tel domain for the community as an initial identity system to experiment with.

I also wanted to note that Dreamhost has an API with some DNS hooks:
