It’s a good mix.
I’ve been tinkering with comet (long polling) with rssCloud and desktop app frameworks like Titanium and also Prism and Fluid. nice effect.

What we could use is a simple push-button deployment of Tornado servers, community-owned/shared.

In fact, this whole de-centralized real-time open web movement could benefit from a sort of new or existing foundation. Though that might be a bit too forward thinking?
Regardless… these are interesting times for the open web.
